Your feelings are always valid, your behaviour may not be

While your feelings are always valid,
it may be that your behaviour is not,
Your feelings are intimately yours,
and they can't be denied, or taken from you.
and still,
while it is not up to another
to tell you how you should or shouldn't feel,
we do still need to take accountability
for what we say,
and for what we do,
in response to our feelings.
It is our responsibility to be curious
around what our emotions are telling us,
to notice, without judgment,
to regulate,
and to be thoughtful and mindful for how we interact,
and the choices we make,
for what to do with these feelings.
