Adjustment Therapy
for life transitions and adjustment

Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect it to.

Even changes we choose, hope for, or feel grateful for

can still bring uncertainty, overwhelm, grief, or a sense of disorientation.

At times, transitions can quietly reshape the way we see ourselves,

our relationships, our priorities, or the life we thought we would have by now.

You might be navigating:

a new phase of life or identity,

relationship changes, separation, or shifts in family dynamics,

becoming a parent, mother, or father,

career changes, burnout, or uncertainty about direction,

fertility experiences, pregnancy, or postpartum adjustment,

moving through changes while feeling disconnected from yourself,

a growing sense that something no longer feels aligned, or sustainable.

Transitions can bring up uncertainty, self-doubt,

anxiety, grief, and emotional overwhelm.

Sometimes, these experiences can also activate older attachment patterns,

fears, or protective coping strategies,

particularly during periods where life feels unfamiliar or uncertain.

In therapy together, we create space to navigate change

with greater steadiness, self-understanding, and emotional support,

and integrate elements of ACT, EMDR, DBT, and nervous-system informed practices.

Using a trauma-informed and attachment-focused approach,

our work may include:

processing the emotional impact of change and uncertainty,

exploring identity shifts and evolving roles,

understanding attachment patterns that emerge during transition,

working with anxiety, overwhelm, grief, or self-doubt,

building emotional regulation and nervous system support,

reconnecting with your values, needs, and sense of self,

creating space for adjustment, reflection, and self-compassion.

This work is not about having all of the answers immediately.

It is about helping you feel more anchored within yourself

as you move through change, uncertainty,

and the unfolding of a new season of life.
