Depression Therapy
for support with depressive symptoms, including trauma, grief, and loss

Sometimes, depression can feel like a quiet shutting down.

a heaviness,

a slowing,

a sense of disconnection from yourself, your life, or the people around you.

a system just trying to cope.

You might notice:

low mood, emptiness, or a sense of flatness,

feeling tired, even with rest,

loss of motivation, interest, enjoyment, or meaning,

withdrawing from others, or wanting to be alone,

numbness, disconnection, or difficulty accessing emotion,

self-criticism, hopelessness, or feeling stuck.

Often, depression can be understood as a protective response,

a nervous system conserving energy when stress, emotional pain,

overwhelm or disconnection have been carried for a long time.

Sometimes, it develops in the context of unresolved experiences,

relationships where needs did not feel safe to express,

chronic self-pressure, grief, burnout,

or feeling disconnected from yourself and what matters most.

In therapy together, we gently explore and make sense of your experience,

without rushing to 'fix' or push you out of it.

Using a trauma-informed and attachment-focused approach,

we make sense of the emotional patterns beneath depression,

while creating space for reconnection,

with yourself, your emotions, your relationships,

and the parts of life that feel meaningful.

Our work may include:

understanding the impact of stress, overwhelm, or past experiences,

exploring emotional patterns and protective coping responses,

working with shame, self-criticism, or feelings of inadequacy,

rebuilding emotional connection and self-understanding,

supporting nervous system regulation and emotional safety,

gently processing unresolved grief, trauma, or relational wounds.

Our therapy integrates approaches such as attachment-focused therapy,
EMDR, ACT, DBT, and nervous system-informed practices,

to explore and move through your experience with care and compassion.
